Looking within!

In the course of life it is not uncommon to sometimes loose our way.  Even the greatest of saints or prophets have sometimes struggled within the material world.   Life in the material world can be the greatest of challenges,  yet it can also provide the greatest rewards.  We must look within if we are to find our way.  Our physical and spiritual lives are not separate, rather they are one and the same.  If we look only outward, the material world may mislead us, but by looking within through what some call mediation, or others call contemplative prayer, we may gain a greater clarity of who we truly are, our purpose in life and the best path forward.   Humanity loves its material institutions, its churches and temples and mosques, but they are only vague reflections of what we experience when we look within.  Prayer, contemplation, meditation, are tools to aid us looking within, but the greatest of the prophets, saints and teachers have become great, only by looking within.  In the end, we must find the greater peace within and then manifest it through will and positive desire, outward into our physical lives.    That is the greatest of miracles.

Cleansing rain

Cleansing rain... It brings me peace.

It is that time now, they call it Monsoon season.  I call it a time of cleansing and contemplation.  The rain comes hard and fast.  It pounds heavily on tin roofs, opening minds and hearts to the nature of the universe.  Neither good or bad it just is.  Sometimes so loud one cannot think as nature screams "wake up, pay attention, listen", and sometimes so gentle and quiet it is like a lullaby meant to sooth humanities soul and remind them all is well.  I love the rain. It brings me peace when nothing else will.  Creator's gentle lullaby.  ~David
